Following the current lockdown, the government is urging people to avoid using public transport unless it’s absolutely necessary.
Many people rely on LandFlight’s bus services within Solihull and we appreciate that many key workers will still need to travel to work. Due to this, we will be continuing to operate a reduced service. You can find the timetable here.
For any elderly passengers who need to travel to supermarkets, we are waiving concession pass charges before 9.30am, to allow for necessary travel to shops during their designated hours.
We would like our passengers to rest assured that our buses are cleaned and sanitised on a regular basis. We clean our busses daily with enhanced cleaning of key touch points and once a week, we use a special sanitising smoke which gets rid of bacteria on surfaces.
The smoke is harmless to humans and helps to ensure our buses are correctly sanitised.
LandFlight director Danny Matthews said: “We know many people across Solihull rely on our buses as part of their daily lives, so we will be doing all we can to provide services to key workers and those who need to get to supermarkets at this unprecedented time.
“However, we must join the call from the government to urge anyone whose journey is not essential to stay at home and help take the strain off the NHS.”
We will be updating our Twitter page, www.twitter.com/LandFlightB with real-time changes to bus services and sharing any important news through our Twitter and Facebook pages.
